Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share a little tool I’ve been using lately alongside my Cubase sessions: a free, browser-based pitch detection utility called pitch-detector .com.
The workflow I’ve found useful: before committing a vocal or melodic instrument take, I’ll pull it up on a second screen or phone to do a quick sanity check on pitch accuracy in real time, without having to fire up VariAudio or a dedicated plugin. It’s also helped me when coaching less experienced vocalists — you can point at the screen and give them instant visual feedback on whether they’re landing on the right note.
It runs entirely in the browser (no install, no account), uses the microphone input, and shows you the detected note name and frequency. Nothing revolutionary, but surprisingly handy for quick checks mid-session or even just tuning an acoustic instrument before hitting record.
Anyone else using lightweight browser tools like this as part of their workflow? Curious if you’ve found other similar utilities worth bookmarking.
Cheers
