Free Elements 14 license! Anyone?

I offered this to another user, but never got a reply. If it got used, I was never informed. So … if you are a current LE/AI user looking to upgrade a notch, PM me with a screenshot of your LE/AI product in your MySteinberg account and a sad story about why you need it so badly (optional  ) and I will provide you with the Download Access Code. You might even get lucky and receive a grace period update to 15 (not totally sure about that, though). If it works, it works. If not, the person I previously offered it to is a sorry excuse for a human being that used the code and never bothered to thank me! First come, first served!

If the code is used then it’s useless. LE/AI are versions that come with hardware and not something that can bought.

  1. Obviously, yes if used it’s useless, but as they said, they don’t think the code is used, there’s just a small chance that it is.
  2. The code is for someone wanting to update from AI/LE to Elements….what does it matter if LE/AI can’t be bought??

Just to clarify, this code has never been tied to LE or AI. It was purchased as Elements outright, not as an upgrade. It was previously registered (to me). However, I contacted support to release the product from my account and received a new Download Access Code to be passed on to the new user. I also have Cubase Pro 14, Cubase Pro 15, and Nuendo 14 licenses. I just don’t need Elements anymore. The new user does not need to have a registered LE/AI license to use the code. I would just prefer to give it to a current user who, for example, might not be able to move up the ladder due to financial circumstances. I really just don’t want to give it away to a random person who might turn right around and sell it.

That sounds like noone has approached you, yet? That’s weird thinking about the number of users who complain about the price for updates/upgrades/grace period every year around the 5th of November…

Nope, not yet. This topic hasn’t even been up for a day, though. I’m going to edit my PM to the initial user I offered it to and remove the DAC. He/she had plenty of time and chose to ignore the offer. One person’s loss is another’s gain, hopefully!

Yeah, you are right, not much traffic.

Maybe it’s because of Black Friday week. Anyways, someone will surely be very happy very soon about an early Xmas gift :+1:

Nobody?

Have you blocked PMs in your forum account settings by any chance?

I’d be very surprised if nobody wanted a free Elements licence.

Not that I’m aware of. Try to send me a test message if you get a chance.

I would think someone would reply here, as well, to inform me of a “PM sent”. But, no.

Done, I sent you a PM.

I suspect a lot of AI/LE users who may just be starting out with Cubase are either not regular forum users or only come here when something goes wrong to ask for help. Forum regulars more likely to see your post will mostly already have a paid license.

OR…you post your offer in the Logic forum asking if anyone is interested to see what a real DAW looks like. I’m sure you’ll make loads of friends in no time

Hee, hee, heeeee! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Also, thanks for confirming my messages are being received properly.

I’ll just let this one ride for awhile. Maybe someone will stumble into it eventually.
