i am working remotely with other cubase users.
a common problem is that the plugin set and especially the VST instruments are not the same version or not available.
when i freeze a VST instr. and the other user opens it on his system and does not have the plugin, cubase does not play back the freeze audio although it is available.
this is a strange behavior.
a frozen track should be playable regardless to which plugin used. after all it is just audio and even has it’s own project folder.
however: attempting to drag the audio file from the folder does not work and it seems to be some kind of consolidated audio file that does not sync up.
would be great to change that in an update.
