This happens to me sporadically (perhaps 1/30 times). Nuendo freezes when I right click on a track and playback is on. I try to avoid it by using shortcuts for whatever I want to do, but sometimes I forget.
When this happens I have to force quit and I lose all my recent work.
This is since Nuendo 15.0.30. I’m on Win 11 Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200. Feels like a Windows window issue
I’m not seeing this myself, but if the right click is the cause of the crash I would ask if you’re using any custom mouse driver, and if so disable it to test.
and/or have a look in C:\Users\username\Documents\Steinberg\CrashDumps\ if there’s a crash .dmp upload it here, maybe it has some meaningful info
Yes I do have Logitech G Hub for the G502 mouse. Will try that, thanks for the tip.
I’m prepared to blame anything, but FYI I haven’t experienced anything close to similar in any other scenario within nor outside Nuendo.
So it happened again after having uninstalled Logitech G Hub.
One more symptom when it happens is that I can’t access any opened window in any app until I force quit Nuendo. Luckily I’m able to open a new app such as Task Manager, but if it’s already open I can’t access it. Then the only solution is ctrl alt delete and log out which force quits everything.
I see, didn’t realize they were so big. You might consider making a tech support request, and include the .dmp files. Tech support has access to tools for reading the logs we mortals lack.
You can look at the logs yourself too, though the main usefulness appears to be when a plugin causes the crash.

I right clicked a track. Moved the mouse on all items except the one called “Add track”. When my mouse pointed came to “Add track”, Nuendo froze and all other apps being open at that time unreachable. Task manager was not open so I could open it and force quit Nuendo.
Yes I agree that a support ticket will be an appropriate way forward.
