Freezes on 4K screen

I’m on the latest Cubase on a mac studio M1 max Sequoia OS. I have both a 55 inch 4k monitor and 30 inch Full HD monitor connected to the mac. I use Cubase on the 4k monitor and what I noticed is every few minutes it freezes for a few seconds (with that colorful spinning wheel) before I can proceed. First I thought it was the autosaves but the freezes appear more often. When I drag my cubase window onto my much smaller Full HD screen, I don’t see that issue happening. In a different thread where someone had a similar problem, someone suggested to disable GPU acceleration in the settings. But when I do that, cubase is pretty much unusable due to many buttons/tracks/etc.. not being displayed properly.
What other options are there? And am I the only one struggling with Cubase on a 4k monitor?

I have a 4K 42-inch LG monitor. Works great. Intel Mac, Vega56 GPU.

I’m using one, and it works fine. Are you running any other applications that might be using the GPU along with Cubase? A few years ago, I had a similar issue because I had Firefox open with YouTube, and disabling ambient mode resolved it.

Hadn’t thought of other applications being an issue since none of them are open on screen, they are minimized. Will make some tests today to see if it stops when I close my 5-10 Chrome windows and other apps!
