I have a French Horn part that is written in the key of Eb. I need it transposed to the key of F. How do I do this?
Is the French Horn a transposing instrument?
How do I start without making a mess? I’m working from a paper copy in Eb.

Do you mean the part is for horn in Eb, and you want it to be for horn in F?
If that’s the case, then start a new project, and add a player with a horn in Eb.
After you’ve entered the music, go back to Setup mode. In the left-hand panel, click the arrow on the horn player to expand the card, then click the three dots next to the instrument name and choose Change Instrument.
Change the instrument to a horn in F, and you’re done.
Yes, the horn is a transposing instrument in F and sounds a fifth lower than written.

Yes. That way, you’re inputting the notes as they appear in the part.
