Frequency plugin : Long delay when tweaking gain while Auto Listen is enabled

There is an issue with the Frequency plugin where tweaking bands Gain while Auto Listen is enabled causes a long delay before hearing the actual gain change.

How to reproduce :

  1. Load Frequency on a track.
  2. Enable Auto Listen for Filters auto listen
  3. Play your audio.
  4. Tweak any band Gain either by dragging a point on the graph or directly with the Gain knobs and keep holding your click (just move your mouse around while doing so).

Result :

  • There is a long delay between modifying the gain and hearing it change.

Notice that there is no delay when changing the Frequency or the Q, this only happens with the Gain and when Auto Listen is active.

Tried this and the delay for me is like 1 sec. I can live with that. :slight_smile:

But there shouldn’t be any noticeable delay.
Imagine playing drums with a one second delay :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Little update from the support :
This will be fixed in the next Cubase version.
