Frequency Tool (Harmonics) request

Please, please, pretty please, could you add the option to manually select the frequency back to this tool? I sometimes work with VERY poorly recorded audio that may only show one or two frequencies above the noise floor. The frequency tool (as it has been modified to work since v12) is unusable for this kind of work. I have to go back to SLP 11 in order to extract speech from the noise. Thanks for your consideration.

why do you say it is unusable?

AFAIK the frequency selection hasn’t changed, only the way to select the master frequency’s place in the series when using the harmonics mode.

The new way requires two adjacent harmonics in order for the program to determine the rest of the series. When I am dealing with very poorly recorded audio (an outdoor conversation 30 feet away from a Ring camera, for example), I may only see one or two frequencies that stand out from the noise floor and many times there is not an adjacent frequency to be seen. This is why I would really like to have the option to use the manual method abandoned in SLP 11.

Oh, I see.
I agree this is valid request.
Very interesting!

Now I’m curious: what do you do with these selected harmonics, since they are essentially blended into the background noise? to you cut them anyways and use the shaped noise as a stand in for the harmonics?
