Frequent crashes -> Dorico Diagnostics

I am experiencing frequent hangs and crashes. Now I just found this in my Desktop folder:

Here a new one. This time I observed it appearing just after a failed startup attempt (Failure to start Audio Engine), the moment I hit “Terminate”. This failure is acually one of the most frequent hangs, showing up whenever I close Dorico and try to start it again.

And another one - I think I can fairly reliably reproduce this now:

  • get Dorico to hang by opening two projects at once
  • kill hanging Dorico using task manager
  • start a new Dorico
  • observe how Audio Manager does not start, wait for 30sec until Dorico gives up and shows a dialog
  • close that dialog choosing “Terminate”

You should also kill VSTAudioEngine (if it is still running). That is the one that prevents Dorico from restarting.
