Fretboard suggestion: “hold down strings”

Would it be possible to add functionality to hold chords in place in a certain mode and then strum that chord in the fretboard view?

Fretboard entry is great for melodies but if I am working with chords, it would be really useful to be able to preview that chord before entering it in a chord diagram.

There’s no way to hold down the strings right now so I can’t do this, which is a shame. I guess I could switch to tab and get the chords checked out that way but if I just have the fretboard it would be great to interact with like an actual instrument rather than a glorified keyboard.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the suggestion. I don’t know how complicated this would be to achieve. We’re unlikely to be able to work on this in the immediate future (our plates are currently completely full) but it’s certainly something we could look into in future.
