Frustrating problem with repeats and pickup bars

I have copied out a Bach Partita to use as a guitar teaching exercise. The piece is in two repeating sections. In both cases in the original score (attached) the last note is a semiquaver. This makes sense as the pickup bar is a semiquaver. However, when I have scored this out also attached), the last note is a quaver (which logically makes the bar 4/4. I am (not unexpectedly) getting errors in the proofreading section. How do I replicate the original score exactly without introducing things like a 15/16 bar or putting the repeat sign after the pick up bar? Any help much appreciated.

When you place the cursor at exactly where you want a bar line to be, you can insert a bar line right there.

Thank you for this helpful advice. I have done as suggested and it seems to work! I am, however, still getting a notification that bar 16 includes a hidden time signature with a different appearance to the one that precedes it. Any ideas?

To eliminate the proofreading notices and correct the bar numbers, start with the Dorico project in the original post of this topic and perform the following actions:

  • Select the eighth rest at the end of bar 16 and type Shift+B -1x Return.
  • Select the eighth rest at the end of bar 32 and type Shift+B -1x Return.
  • Select the end/start repeat barline before bar 17 and delete it.
  • Select the sixteenth pickup note before bar 17 and type Shift+B endstart Return.
