I have wasted so much time trying to get the SDA to work. I sent in a support ticket which was acknowledged on 7th November, but no reply yet. There is also no solution listed on this forum that works for me.
So I decided to manually install C14. But there are other files, such as the drum machine content, that doesn’t get installed. There is nothing about this in the Cubase manual, and advice I found online doesn’t work either.
Can somebody please give me an idiot’s guide how to manually install C14?
Yes, I downloaded C14 from that page and installed it. I have the Drum Machine Vol 01 Content as an ISO disk image, but what do I do with it?
I double-clicked the ISO disk image file, as stated on the Steinberg page, and a window appears asking if I want to open it. I clicked Open but nothing seems to happen.
I don’t appear to have the Drum Machine content in Cubase, so can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong?
If you right-click on this you should get a menu option with the word “Mount” - select this and the file will be like a pseudo-drive. Treat it as such, drag the items in it to where you keep your installers and run it from there.
Thank you, Googly_Smythe. I was doubtful about what you said because I had already tried right-clicking the file and did not see any “mount” option. But I looked again and saw an option: Extract to "Drum_Machine_Vol_01_Content"
I right-clicked that option and it extracted to a folder, and inside that folder were 2 files. I double-clicked the first file and it installed the content into the library.
I wish there had been more information on the download page about how to do this.
