Function "trim flow" ("Partie trimmen") in Mac Tahoe 26.2 doesn't work

Dear friends, after updating my Mac to Mac OS Tahoe 26 the function “trim flow” (“Partie trimmen”) in Mac Tahoe 26.2 doesn’t work. What can I do? Thanks!

Check

  • added/removed staves with left over notes
  • deleted divisi with left over notes
  • stray notes anywhere
  • turn on all signposts and check if there’s something hanging around
  • time signatures/key changes left over

For the first 3 you can check Play mode for any MIDI that’s still present.

You could just “Split Flow” and delete the new and unnecessary flow afterwards.
In German it is called “Partie trennen …”
It goes without saying that you first have to select the split point.
This method is very pragmatic, as you won’t have to check for hidden items and also don’t have to count the bars you want to remove.

Or just Edit > Delete Bars.

It’s very unlikely that an OS upgrade would cause this problem. Trim Flow works fine here on Tahoe for me.

As said: make that the Flow is selected, and that the bars are completely empty, including manual barlines, objects with hidden signposts, etc.

Not specific to macOS Tahoe 26,2, but on a few occasions when Trim Flow did not work for me I found that it did work if I deleted the final barline.
