In GA SE 6 I get a little alarm icon in the media browser telling me libraries are missing, also providing a list of those libraries.
On inspection all these libraries are not missing and are available in the Steinberg Library Manager. They are mostly not drum library related and melodic and harmonic content.
Already tried rescanning the Media bay in Cubase 15, but that doesn’t change anything. How am I supposed to get rid of the Ga SE 6 alert and the underlying problem?
Hi @jim_knopf , please make sure that all vstsound packages and the media bay are up to date.
To find this out please perform the following steps:
Close all Steinberg Programs
Open the Steinberg Download Assistant.
If it offers any updates, please install them.
Then you need to be a little bit patient and wait until vstsound updates are checked.
If it finds any install them.
If during this whole process, no updates for Media Bay or vstsound containers where found you might need to rescan your media bay as described in my reply here:
Thanks for the feedback!
The Download Assistant doesn’t report any missing updates. There are also no missing updates in the Library Manager (paths intact, no error messages).
I reinstalled one of the supposedly missing plugins — the Retrologue sound set “Sounds of Soul”, where I don’t understand why it would be used in Groove Agent SE 6 — using the Download Assistant, but to no avail: it still appears in the list of missing libraries.
I’m now reinstalling other supposedly missing content, but that didn’t help either. At least the main drum libraries I use don’t seem to be affected.
Please don´t do that, you do not need those files on your computer. It sounds more like the Media Bay or Content not beeing up to date. If you open Groove Agent, please verify that your Media Bay is at least 1.3.30.
Do this by clicking on the Groove Agent SE6 banner in the top left corner. This will open the about page and at the bottom you find the Groove Agent version and the version of the connected Media Bay.
I had the same issue before. Try reassigning the library paths manually in Steinberg Library Manager, even if they appear registered, then restart Cubase and rescan MediaBay. Also check if any libraries are older versions or installed under another user folder. That fixed it for me, anyone else found a better solution?
Tried your proposal, but didn’t work in this case.
The weird thing is that the libraries are all present in the Media Bay for their respective instruments. For example I can browse the “missing” Retrologue library “Sounds of Soul” without any problems from the Retrologue Media Bay browser.
They are exclusively missing in Groove Agent SE 6, so I guess the problem has to be fixed for GA SE 6.
Finally I solve this issue on my side by deleting the folder “Groove Agent SE_64” that is created again at cubase startup and refreshed the Groove Agent librairies .
