GA6SE - Pattern is not played back when loading a song; need to "activate" it first in the plugin

In one project (Cubase Pro 15) I use this Cowbell pattern (G#0) in GA 6 SE:

When I start Cubase and load the project the cowbell pattern won’t be played.
I have to open the GA UI and click the pad with the mouse, so that it starts to play a bit. Afterwards it will also play back in the project.

GA 6 SE 6.0.20.1050

Hi Johnny_Moneto,

Is the Pattern triggered from Cubase by G#0 or did you drag the whole Pattern to the project window?

Cheers,
Jan

Moin Jan,

the pattern is triggered.

GA is loaded on an Instrument Track. I use an additional Midi Track to trigger the pattern.

Moin,

Unfortunately, I can’t reproduce the issue here.

Was the project created with Cubase 15 and GASE 6, or does it come from earlier versions?

Works as expected here, too (Cubase Pro 15, Win 11, both GA SE6 & GA6).

I don’t think this is an easy to replicate issue. it might be in conjunction with another factor, maybe something in the project?
I have tried with a fresh Cubase profile - same effect. Project is based on a template that is still a RIFF (C12) but was modified and last saved in Cubase 15. The project itself was started recently in C15, GA 6 SE instances were all created for this project in C15.

I had another unreproducable issue with GA 6 SE before in another project (one of the sounds would not render during a mixdown). If there is anything I can do to “reset” GA please advise.

@Gerrit_Junge knows me, I can send the project file via DM if required.

I’m no help here. I’m still on C14 and GA5 (until the sales!), and not only that but I rarely use Patterns. When I do, I always drag it to a MIDI track for tweaking.

Ok, I have to refine my problem description: GA outputs the sound of the pattern as soon as I open it UI. There is no need to press a pad.
Individual sounds that are triggered through the Main midi port are heard from the start.
