I wrote stupid stuff, so I deleted my post. The plugin i suggested has no output adjustmentā€¦ so it is useless in that case.

i donā€™t know if you consider this old topic solved, but cubase includes a ā€œvolumeā€ plugin that exists for this purpose. i use it all the time now that i know it exists. i used to use blue catā€™s gain suite before i knew cubase had its own.

But only since C14, after this topic was started.

gotcha- yea i wondered how long it had been available. i only discovered it recently after having used cubase for so many years.

I used to use Blue Cat, same as yourself, but then the direction of my music making changed and now that Cubase has a gain plugin, I donā€™t use one. Ha! Typical! :grinning:

For those who havenā€™t updated to Cubase 14 yet, hereā€™s a free gain reduction plugin which offers all features of the Steinberg Volume plugin and then some like mid/side:
