I asked this before:
I want to have gallery view as default mode, every time I switch to write mode.
I did set Preferences → Default view → fortlaufende Ansicht (German).
It just doesn’t do it. Overtime I switch to write mode, I have page mode.
What am I doing wrong?

Version 5.6.10.111
Right, that’s the audio engine version rather than the Dorico version, but it means you’re using Dorico 5.0.20, I think, so you’re up-to-date. I don’t know what to suggest, unfortunately: when you switch back to Write mode from Engrave mode, Dorico will return to the same view you were using before, so if you were using galley view before you switched to Engrave mode, it will return to galley view when you go back to Write mode.

No, I’m afraid not. It’s something that Dorico does programmatically every time you switch mode.
Can you show a screen video of exactly what you do and what happens? I presume you’ve restarted Dorico, if not your computer?
