Galley view measure widths

Is there any way to establish a minimum measure width in galley view? When inputting new music, it would be nice to have a wider measure to better see the Caret rhythmic ruler at the top of the measure when using 16th notes, for example.

Hi @D.Galbraith,

you can temporarily increase the Default space for crotchet/quarter note in Layout Options/Note Spacing. This will influence the caret (also in Galley view):

That works alright, but it’s still a pretty tight ruler for the 16ths, even set to 8.

Yes, that helps, but it might be nice to be able to establish a minimum measure width at this stage of input.

This is on a 5k monitor at 100% zoom, with that layout option set to 25 spaces. The problem seems not to be the caret anymore, but the notes :

So choose a balance between your desired zoom level and the desired spacing of the caret when in 16th grid.
