I have a kick wav file and using the Gate function. I’m using the fastest attack & following guidelines for hold & release but once rendered the resulting kick is slightly attenuated by a few dbs. Is that to be expected because some of the ‘oomph’ is lost as the gate takes 0.1ms to open?

Also the manual talks about the ‘range’ function (page 720 for wavelab 8.5) but I can’t see it on the plug-in. Guess I’m being stupid but if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.
