Is there a general setting to hide rests at the end of cues? I can hide them manually in the properties, but I cannot find a general setting.
If I have a cue in the first half of the bar and in the second the instrument playing, I don’t want to see the rest of the cue in the second half of the bar.
Shortening the cue sometimes helps, but often not - see the screenshot.
I don’t know if this is a bug?
Hi @audio1, showing the rests around cues is the normal behaviour if the cue starts and/or ends in the middle of the bar. I don’t see any global option to hide them and you need to change it with the properties.
If you need to hide all rests around all cues, you can select one cue label, make Select More [Shift+Command(Control)+A] a couple of times, to select all cues, and change the properties once for all of them.

Yes, the Select More would be an idea. But unfortunately it doesn’t work as expected. When I select a cue label and press [Shift+Command(Control)+A], it selects only some of the other cues - very strange. And repeated pressing doesn’t change anything.
I noticed this strange behaviour already with other items.
EDIT: It works only in ONE part - and there only in Cues stem up - or stem down. I have seven parts in the score, so I should use it 14 times… In that case probably its saver to use the manual selection.
Alternatively: select all, Edit > Filter > Cues.

Select All works also only for one part at a time, but then the selection includes both stem up and stem down cues.
Strange, I tried it and cannot confirm this behaviour. Can you upload a Dorico project that show this unwanted behaviour?

I tried to reproduce this strange behaviour in a new document – but without “success.”
Perhaps it’s because my huge project was imported as MusicXML and therefore has some ‘quirks’?
Unfortunately, I cannot upload the original file for copyright reasons.
But in my opinion, displaying rests AFTER the main part has entered should not be Dorico’s normal behaviour. Because in the example in my first post, this actually results in incorrect information, as the 2nd clarinet CONTINUES to play when the main part (flute) enters and has NO rest!
