Generate chords

As a Finale user for several years, I am trying to find a way with Dorico that will allow me to generate chords from a simple score of 2 or more staves of a melody. Any idea that could help me please?

I think you’re probably looking for Edit > Paste Special > Reduce.

Here’s the relevant section of the manual:

If you want to generate chord symbols from written music, that’s easy:

generate chord symbols

generate chord symbols 3
(You can decide in which parts to show chord symbols later)

But: how many notes do you have in each cross section = chord?
(“a simple score of 2 or more staves of a melody”)

If there are not enough notes, this will not work:
generate chord symbols 2
