I’ve only done a cursory search, so this might have already been requested, but…
It would be cool if there was a text token that we could place in a text frame that would generate a list of instruments in a score. Sure, I’m being lazy, but every cool shortcut is from laziness. 
The advantage here is that it would update for every layout you create. It would be a nice addition to front matter generation.
instrumentList or instrumentNames don’t work for you?

Ha! Like I said… cursory search in the forum rather than the manual. And I didn’t search very hard. I am lazy, after all. I tend to think of cool things when in the forum, and usually on my laptop–where I don’t normally like to open Dorico since it takes a bit longer than my desktop.
Not really. It just gives me a single line of concatenated names. I’d prefer something like this, or something I can format like this in a single go…
Playerlist comes closest, but it’s a single vertical list without an option to add number of parts and such. I could add that, but it’s almost as much work as creating the thing from scratch.
Not possible, I’m afraid.
