Generate markers from Video thumbnails

As far as I can see there is no way to generate markers from video thumbnails in Cubase.

It’s so convenient to have the program find the important events of a video (even if you have to adjust things) so that you can plan your composition.

Logic has that and although not perfect it helps tremendously. I wonder why video capabilities are so crippled in Cubase (because of Nuendo maybe?..).

Anyway, it would be nice to see a basic function like this in an update in the future.

Not quite sure what you mean…

Do you mean ‘automatically’ generating markers from a video clip? Perhaps whenever consecutive frames differ significantly? Or something else?

I could see an automatic function could be useful if there’s a threshold slider available. Something like hitpoint detection.
