German Harpsichord 1728 unable to find licence

I bought the German Harpsichord some years. It dies not appear in my Products page and I d9ont know how to licence it. Any help?

It does not appear to be in my USB e-licenser - and that is useless as the servers are turned off anyway. I have the invoice from 2022, but no download code is given there. What to do? There’s no category for the German Harpsichord under the VST Instruments top level category. Also, mail to the providers of that invoice bounces with unknown MX record - so it is defunct.

Am I the only customer with this product?

It sounds like you would have to open a support ticket

Forget about iit. Ever tried to deal with Yamaha in Australia, to whom Steinberg fobs off the support? Impossible and useless.

I’m stuck. Will just have to buy it again, for USD$172.

Are you saying that you never activated the product?

I think that complicates things even further, unfortunately. If you purchased directly from Steinberg, this would have been before the Fastspring conversion for the online shop. Asknet would have been handling things at that time, I believe.

It’s just so strange that you are only dealing with this situation now, four years later.

Seems a pity to spend so much extra money, but I guess it’s urgent?
Steinberg changed reseller companies between 2022 and now, so that’s likely why your email bounced. But you bought it from Steinberg, which is not defunct

As @Scab_Pickens asked, did you not actually use the product at the time, or since you bought it? Had you, there would be an entry in your Steinberg account.

I think that’s a moot point – it looks like AU users are not being sent to Yamaha Australia anymore… This must be a result of Yamaha taking over support for hardware and Steinberg only doing software support.

Click the link and then hit continue, then Global Support

I did use it and i was activated. It’s strange that it does not show in my Steinberg account. But that project I did was four years ago, which is a long time in computing history I guess.

I will give Australian support a shot then!

If it was activated then it would show up in your online account so maybe you have more than one. The amount of time passed is irrelevant.

Not sure if you fully read my reply. You will not be using Yamaha AU. You can call Steinberg directly.

Re Global support - I am directed to Fastspring and they ask for order details. All very good but it was not purchased from Fastspring. It was long before that. So not much good I’m afraid. There are no details for contacting support in Australia as far as I can see at the moment.

If it ran before you presumably have had a second login in which that activation lives. Or, you should have a voucher in your account.

No you can contact Steinberg support directly. Which might resolve this:

I wonder if you viewed the pages I refered you to.

Anyway, good luck with your activation. I see you have this topic duplicated elsewhere so I’ll close this
