It was my reading of the licensing agreement that for some of my proposed uses of Cubase (simultaneous use of 2 instances eg during collaborative composition in the studio), that would be seen as “more than one user at one time” and would be in breach of the licensing as I understand it. The licensing documentation is not very specific in detail though. How they police that I don’t know (and don’t really want to find out).
I was more interested in whether I could get the additional discount with an eligible Cross grade product on top of the sale price and if that would give me a second license at a pretty reasonable price.

If you need another instance of Cubase open, and you have 14, you can open 12 or 13, and have them open at the same time.
I’m using C14 both on my studio descktop and my Laptop simultanasly, with no problem at all!
Laptop for testing things under way in working processes, an in learning processes. The same with Dorico also btw.
