The good news is that I bought a brand new computer. The bad news is that I cant log in.
When I try to bring up my “Steinberg Download Assistant” I get this message saying:
To authorize Steinberg Download Assistant, you must allow your browser to open Steinberg Download Assistant. Once authorization is completed, you can close this page and continue working with Steinberg Download Assistant.
Why am I getting this message? I’m using Win 11 (brand new). Now I don’t know where to begin to get my Cubase 15 Elements back. Is there anybody out there that can help me?
And then, once you are logged in, the Download Assistant should start working, updating itself etc. You can close the browser window that you just used to log yourself in at that point.
The same procedure might be needed for the Activation Manager too, depending on what you launch first. (Activation Manager or Download Manager) Logging in through the browser is the standard procedure.
If you can’t get the browser to pop up, you can log in manually by going to https://www.steinberg.net/ and clicking on the little human icon, second to last on the right.
It may be that the sign-in window gets hidden behind the browser window itself. If so, you can use Alt-Tab to switch to it. It can be a little confusing first time around, and if you use a pop-up blocker, you’ll have to switch it off for the Steinberg website.
