Getting Cubase to listen to one MIDI channel

hi, I have an Elektron Digitakt. I am trying to get it to sequence multiple VSTs. The problem I have is although I can set the different sequences to different MIDI channels - but each of the tracks in Cubase Pro 10.5 are hearing all the data on all the tracks.

I did a bit of research and the answer I’ve senn is

“make midi track
on that track you select as midi input the digitakt
open the input transformer to give in the command that he only listens to channel 1
select as midi output the external synth you want and put midi out channel on 1
and so on for track 2 on channel 2 and track 3 on channel 3”

My issue is “open the input transformer to give in the command that he only listens to channel 1” How do I do that. I’ve opened the Input Transformer, set it to local, filter, set Channel 1 Equal to 1 and then can’t find my way from there?

In the Input Transformer, from the presets, select “Channel Filtering”, and select the channel you want.

thanks for this.

I discovered the problem is that I was missing the presets for the Input Transformer. Apparently this happens quite often. I needed to copy the presets from the main Cubase program folders into the app data folders.

It’s covered here

many thanks!! It now works.
