Getting IFX names to appear in REmote Midi Editor

I have a modest Midi Remote setup…in dev

on the bottom row of buttons I have the IFX numbers (currently showing dummies that are empty macro names)
When I jump to this mapping page, I would like to be able to see the names of each IFX numbered along in those buttons

Ideally they would highlight to show state.

Any way of doing this?

Hi, I see you tagged CB12, so I don’t see a way of doing this in the MIDI Remote window. In versions 13+, we can have “viewers” connected to specific fx slots, so this can work, but even then it needs scripting, i.e. not just the mapping assistant.
Here’s a screenshot for something like this, but again, since I see you’re on CB12 it won’t be of help :frowning:

I must note here, that using the label object inside the MIDI Remote doesn’t give many degrees of freedom. In some cases, especially when wanting to dynamically update labels, the way I usually act, is to use external utilities (even a web page will do) where I’m sending the text to update labels there, using virtual ports.
