hi All long time pro tools and logic user here new to Steinberg . Pro Tools sent a promo offering a discount or Wavelab pro which i will need soon as its been a while since i’ve had to burn a master Redbook standard CD…and I have a project that i’ll need to do that. On my system im running High Sierra OSX 10.13. i’ve read its compatible with Wavelab Pro 9.5. :
1- I downloaded 9.5 i tried to open it but it says no license found. (of course i was hoping to demo it).
2- the link from pro tools email wants me to download v12…which i can’t because it requires a newer OSX…which i can’t use for the rest of my current projects.
3- The demo promos on the steinberg site offer demos for V12…
What can i do to get up and running w version 9.5? tnx
I believe that it is still possible to purchase the USB e-Licenser:
I am not sure how you would go about purchasing WL 9.5. and authorizing it. Maybe you need to purchase WL 12 which typically provides authorization for earlier versions … but I don’t really know so don’t take my word for it: Steinberg help would be better able to assist you.
You can download WL 9.5 from the legacy downloads page.
If you decide to go down this road you need to do so quickly This is because support for the USB e-Licenser is ending early 2025. As I understand it, you will not be able to authorize a USB eLicenser after then.
