Getting Signal to Cubase from Behringer SD16 Ports w/ X32 Rack (SOLVED)

Hello!
I am trying to record signals from 16 ports on a Behringer SD16 that is connected via AES-50 to my X32 rack, which is in turn connected by USB to my Windows 10 machine running Cubase 12. Here are some data points:

  • I have my X32 rack’s USB card set for 32 ins/32 outs
  • I can actually see 32 mono ins in Cubase’s “Audio Connections” window
  • I have mapped 24 of the mono ins to Cubase tracks as usual (16 from X32 Rack, 8 from SD16)
  • Cubase tracks with inputs from 1-16 get signal just fine
  • Cubase tracks with inputs from 17-24 (ie from the attached SD16) get no signal
  • I am also checking the Cubase mixer input view for 17-24 and nothing appears there
  • The good news is that on the X32 software I can see and hear signal coming from the SD16 through the X32
  • So I know signal is getting to the X32 and all inputs are good to go, but I am not sure why the SD16 ports (17+) aren’t appearing on Cubase’s input

I have searched the forums, googled, etc. but this one has me stumped. Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have

SOLVED - TL;DR is that I had selected the wrong item for the routing of the card on the X32. I went to Routing-Card, changed that to use AES-50 1-8 as well as 9-16 and it came right up. Documenting here in case anybody ever hits the same thing I did.
