Is there an built-in way to mask gliss lines that go across clefs? I had to do this with two separate gliss lines for each single gliss line that goes through the bass clef.
No, there’s no automatic support for this at present. (And even if there were, it would not be so elegant as the solution you’ve come up with there, as we typically blank out rectangular shapes rather than polygons that closely track the shape of the item around which you want to knock out the line, slur, tie, or whatever.)
