I have some string harmonic double-stops that involve a glissando. No problem, but I found that if I tied the notes to the previous ones, as I’d not like to have a separate bow stroke between the harmonics and the glissando, both glissandi got associated with the bottom-most note and of course will not play back.
On the Glissando Lines page of Engraving Options, you’ll find an option to choose what or whether text should appear on the glissando line by default.
When you create the glissando lines, if you use Command-click to select the source and destination notes, you should find that they attach as expected.
Thanks. But while they do attach as expected, as before, once that note gets tied to the prior note, the glissando no longer involves two notes but just one:
Before (using cmd-select for source and targets, then shift-o for the popover)
You might find that you need to use fake harmonics rather than real ones here, i.e. instead of using the Properties panel, add the notes a fourth above the fundamental and override their notehead type to diamonds.
