Glissando line in score disappears

Hey there everyone. I have a problem in the score-edit of Cubase 12 pro. I want to make a glissando line for the harp, but everytime I close the score and open it, the lines disappear

(see attachment, there should be 3 lines, only one is showing).
Are there more people with this problem? What is wrong?

Double-check that the line is assigned to the staff you mean it to be assigned to.

that should not affect the notation of the lines

If they are on the note layer, yes, it does affect it.

Unless you’re putting the lines on the Layout layer, or the Project layer.

Steve, thanks for your reply, appreciated it. How do I have to put it in the layout layer? I am working allready for decades with Cubase (even with the Atari :o) ) and with the scores but this is completely new for me

Check out Activating Layers and Layers

And post back with any questions

Hello Steve, I had allready read the topics about layout etc, but when do I know when I put a line in the layout layer. It still disappears… Maybe I am doing something completely wrong

If this is supposed to be bug, I cannot reproduce for the moment personally.

Yeah, I’m trying to as well, no luck.

@djmmusic Can you create a new track and open that one by itself in the score editor to see if you can reproduce?

Also worth doing is starting Cubase in Safe Mode with prefs disabled, just to rule out a problem there.

Following up on @steve’s procedure, if you can reproduce, maybe you can share your project here.

Hey Maestro and Steve. It is still not working, I share my file now, hope you can help me. When I add the lines and I go on to the next page of close the score they disappear.

Look on measure 50 and further, page 3

I see.
This is related to voices.
The graphic symbols such as lines belong to the primary voice only in a given staff.
That means voice 1 for the treble clef, and voice 5 for the bass clef.
The problem is that in your score, you have deactivated the voice 5 for the harp. So all the symbols inserted in the lower staff (voice 6) will automatically switch to voice 5 afterwards, and disappear.

If you enable the voice 5 in the lower harp staff, all the invisible symbols will reappear.
Try the Optimize Four Voices preset in Score Settings>Staff>Polyphonic.

That explains a lot, How am I supposed to know that??? I cannot find that in de manual, it should be very useful to mention that in the manual. Thanks anyway for the clearance.

You were right, I wasn’t almost able to see the score anymore because of all the lines… :o)
