I keep running into an issue while working on a piece I’m working on for full ensemble. Occasionally, while working on my project, the audio will glitch and start “fracking”, and I’ll have to restart Dorico. I do use Noteperformer, but I don’t think it’s causing the issue, as the error persists without using Noteperformer. Any ideas on how to fix this? I’ve attacked a diagnostic report I took while the issue was occurring.
Let’s see if it is a drivers problem.
Please install two other, generic ASIO drivers and see how they behave.
They are both public domain and can be used without license fee.
FlexASIO you can download from here and ASIO4All from here.
Please run the installers and then in Dorico choose from the menu Edit > Device Setup. In that dialog then both drivers shall turn up in the drop-down list for ASIO drivers.
Do you also get glitches with those drivers?
I will try it with these new drivers and see if the issue persists. I will say the issue has occurred with both the “generic low latency” driver and the “steinberg built-in” driver. I will try the new drivers out for a little bit though.
