Maybe I’m going crazy here, but I was expecting some kind of global engraving option for dealing with collisions like this second eighth rest here:
These are the defaults, and one is obviously colliding with the beam. Changing the “Rest pos.” property here works for this on an individual basis:
I could have sworn something like this existed, but after checking engraving, notation, layout options for rests and beams and spacing things, I haven’t been able to find it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

A similar question was asked recently:
The rests colliding with the beams is a known bug (unwanted behavior?) that goes back years. Daniel stated in 2018 that those rests should move up a space, but unfortunately this has not been implemented yet.
There are some workarounds mentioned in this topic . One of them is to apply the Snap to staff line positions setting in Engraving options>Beams. Another is to go to Engraving Options > Notes > Stems > Default stem length and try smaller values.
