Glue tool anomaly/bugs with dmx (maybe also midi/audio but not tested)

Hi @Spork @musicullum ,

I was trying to condensate a lot of small dmx events on a track to a single event because with hundreds of small events per song (thousands per project) i noticed a slow downn in song load times and a raise in cpu usage and instability.

So i thought about glueing all events togheter per track. I started glueing events previously copypasted and modified but noticed:

  • events overlapping are added togheter instead of only the front one ending in the final event.

  • when an event have been resized to hide dmx points (start or stop timeframe dragged so there are points before the beginning or after the end of the active clip) they are glued and fused with the next event in track, messing up all the resulting glued events.

Hided points should be ignored i think… overlapping events should ignore the back one…

Glueing should result exactly in what is playing with separate events i suppose.

I really need to reduce number of events as the slow down and instability is evident but as it is now i can’t check thousands of small clip to be shure no overlapping and no hidden points are present…

Can zip and send you the project but is huge, 50-60 GB…

Ciao!

Ps: worked around by the fantastic virtual dmx out / virtual dmx in cables … i recorded my messed up hundreds single events in a new track clean 1 event … now on to 25 songs :rofl:

I have this issue and have mentioned it before. Good Idea for a workaround though!
