"Go to bar" that moves playhead as well

Is there a command that works like “go to bar” but also moves the playhead? Or an option to affect the behavior of go to bar command?

I believe that Go To Bar, when used in Play mode, also moves the playhead. But you can also use the key command for moving the playhead to the current selection.

I could be mistaken, but AFAICT if you are in Write Mode, the “Go To Bar” does not actually select anything. So to start playback in Write Mode where you have just “gone to”? This requires a second step - you have to select something first.

It’s interesting that this works in Play mode - it should do the same in Write as well. I put in a request for this quite a while back.
