How do I place a grace note after a note?
If you place it before the bar line in the second bar, no tie will appear.
Im’ afraid you’ll have to make it with tuplets and real notes. And with two different voices in order to have a full sized note tied to a grace sized one.
There are (many) different possibilities for the tuplet ratios. It depends on what the other instruments are playing, for the spacing.
Here I did 3:2q for the dotted half, and 9:1q for the grace notes (i.e. the grace notes start on the 3d beat, if there are other instruments). The grace notes are in another voice and rests are removed.

Here you are. Before starting the “grace notes” entry, you’ll see that I type V: that’s because I already had created another voice. You might have to type Shift+V instead, if you don’t have another existing voice for this instrument.
Also: my shortcut for Start Tuplet Entry is a custom one, don’t pay attention to it and use yours!
