I’m setting a trill with a nachschlag before a repeat, and for some reason “grace note before barline” doesn’t seem to work. It works in other, non-repeat barlines in the same file. Is there a way around this?
Hi @monica.m.chew, and welcome to the Forum.
I think the issue you describe is a limitation currently (if I am wrong please someone correct me).
As a workaround you could notate the grace notes at that point as normal notes, into a hidden tuplet of 8 sixteenths in place of 6 [write 8:6x in the tuplets popover on the second half of the end repeat bar], then change their size to grace note size, and adjust the note spacing manually in engrave mode. (You create so to speak fake grace notes)
It is not optimal, but gives you at least the desired visual result:
Result:
Dorico file example:
grace notes before repeat barline - workaround.dorico (1.4 MB)
Thank you @Christian_R, I am sure that workaround will work.
