Grace Notes Not Sounding

My experience is that grace notes only sound about half the time. In the example below, I do not hear the grace note playing back (q=100). Am I doing something wrong?

Update: I flatted the grace note and now I hear it, although that does not explain the other cases.

Hi @konradh, it may be depending on the sound library limitation, which may be not able to reproduce two fast notes of the same pitch clearly enough.

Which instrument is this, and which sound library are you using?

This can also has something to do with humanisation (or other customisable Playback options that influence the length of the notes).
Try to reduce the random humanisation of notes start position in Playback Options > Timing > Note Position (if you are using Note Performer this setting is already overridden in the NP Expression Map, and set to 0%):

You could also try to shorten manually the eight note E, to give the sound library more room between the two repeated E (from Key Editor > Played Durations mode):

There are also this two possible Playback Options Overrides that you can set in the Expression map (but the previous step would already influence the length of the note):

I have noticed that a grace note will sometimes not sound as a separate note if it is the same pitch as the note immediately before it, particularly in fast music.
