I have an activation code for Cubase Elements 12 that Activation Manager tells me is “Not Activated”. From memory I’ve never used it. Is it possible for me to somehow update to Elements 15 without any cost? Whether by some iffy process I see about the grace period, or by contacting Steinberg directly? TIA

I’m afraid that’s not possible. You have already entered the Download Access Code which defines whether you are eligible for a grace period update or not. It doesn’t matter that you’ve never used the product or activated a version on a system. All that matters is that you have already entered the Download Access Code which is why your licenses show up in your account.
Contacting Steinberg Account will be to no avail - others have tried. The regulations are very clear on that matter. Sorry…
