Grace period problem

I activated Cubase 7 on December 3 and it was automatically upgraded to Cubase Pro 8 (not 8.5). I submitted a support request on the same day, asking why my license wasn’t eligible for the 8.5 upgrade. They have been “looking into it” for the last 2 weeks and I haven’t received any meaningful reply. They can’t tell how much longer it will take. It’s frustrating. Has anyone here ever experienced such a problem before? I would really prefer to buy the 8.5 update for $50 and be done with it but I was told to wait until the development team in Germany figures it out. :confused:

OK, it was finally resolved today - they sent me a new activation code to upgrade it to version 8.5. Still, I have no idea why it didn’t work when I first activated it.
