Is it possible to match the style of the crescendo for the tempo change?
Yes, it is.
The dynamic font (style) is the Dynamic Text Font in Font Styles.
The gradual tempo font is the Tempo (Gradual) font in Paragraph Styles.
Just match the size and the Staff relative / Absolute setting.
Thank you Vadian, but I mean the position of the - - - -. I found a setting for them for the dynamics but not for the tempo.
You might not want to. The top set are actually hyphens, and separates syllables, while the other is for separating whole words. I get that they look odd next to one another, but each has a different function and are correct in their useage.
Still… I don’t think there’s a way to change both.
Ah, you are right about that, it is a badly chosen example. But if I do it like this:
I would expect the same setting for accelerando as for dynamics – after all, the engraving settings for gradual tempo changes names this hyphenated text, just like for the gradual dynamics changes. This is the setting I am after that I cannot find:
Yeah… I think the UI people just reused a dialog design, because it’s clearly wrong. I think they meant dash or underscored spaces.
