Hi, I’ve added a ritardando to my score. The playback is obeying the ritardando, but I can’t figure out how to display it in view – it is currently invisible. How do I make this marking visible?

This is hard to tell without seeing the actual file, since there can be a number of different things going on. Can you share the project file? You can probably delete everything except that one bar to reduce file size.
Meanwhile, one of the most obvious things I can think of is that you might have inadvertedly hidden the marking and have signposts turned off. You could try to switch them back on (see that link). If a signpost for the rit. appears, you can then unhide it.
If that’s not it, please upload the file as this is just a wild guess.
Edit: while looking closer at the article in the manual on hiding/showing tempo markings I just noticed that it only covers the steps for absolute tempo markings. For gradual tempo markings there is no Text shown checkbox in the properties panel. To hide those, one has to actually delete the text from the box (there is also no toggle switch). I hadn’t noticed this before because I’ve never had the need to hide a gradual tempo marking. Is there supposed to be a checkbox in the Properties panel like for absolute tempo markings? Or is the manual not 100% complete on this? Paging @Lillie_Harris just in case.

the problem is that you set the Layout Options>Staves and Systems>System attached Items to Specific Players, but you didn’t select any player there for the various items. So Dorico will not show any of those items:
As soon as you select a player (or different players) for each item, the rehersal marks and the tempi reappears:
(You can of course alternatively use the other option: Families)
