Grand staff, single voice

I’m a bit unclear how to notate this correctly in Dorico (or elsewhere). Piano left hand only, spanning both staves. I’ve been playing around with the Edit options under Cross-Staff, Stem and Beaming. How do I make this one voice with no rests on either staff? Thanks.

Do you mean like this?

If so, input on one stave, then use M to cross to the stave below or N to cross to the stave above. Dorico tends to get the rests right, in my experience, but you can always add them explicitly or remove them (using Starts/Ends voice properties or Edit > Remove Rests).

Thank you, yes. I started from a MIDI import, so the key was to move everything to the bass clef staff first. M and N are working fine, and the rests look good.
