Graphic destination folder could not be created - Occasional errore message when exporting pdfs

Hi,

I randomly occasionally receive this errore message when exporting pdfs.

I reckon it is tied to my Dorico folder being on iCloud. But I can’t understand why this error message only pops up every now and then and whilst working perfectly most of the rest of the time?

Thanks

Best

I don’t know your procedure, but I never create a new folder, when exporting a graphic.
Instead I define the target folder in the right panel of Doric’s Print Mode/Export Graphic by navigating to an existing folder - before initiating an export.
In which way is your procedure different?

Yes: I would make the folder in the Finder, and then see if you can save to it.

thank a lot, but I don’t really understand what you mean.

I am just exporting a pdf inside the default folder which is the project folder (I never changed that).

Most of the tines it works…occasionally it doesn’t and that popup shows up.

I have exactly the same problem. When I want to export the PDF to the project’s default folder, that message sometimes appears.
I have found that if I manually search for the destination folder, even if it is the same one, it works.

Have you checked, if the folder does exist and Dorico is pointing to it?
You might have to confirm it by going to it again.
Explanation: you might have copied the project at some point and may be exported to another destination - and then you might have deleted the duplicate project.

Next time you experience the above mentioned behaviour: check the folder path!
You would have to click onto the three dots next to the Destination folder path (and navigate…):
