Graphic Slices - ALMOST there..

Just upgraded to Dorico 3.5. For me, I was hoping the killer-feature would be the Graphic Slices. It’s pretty great, but three things immediately stand out as feature requests:

  1. I would like to be able to copy/paste/duplicate slices.
  2. I’d like to be able to drag slices between pages.
  3. I’d like to be able to specify left/top/width/height instead of left/top/right/bottom - perhaps an option to do it either way. The width and height fields are tantalizingly visible in the properties box, but disabled.

I often need to quickly grab images out of Dorico projects to put on slides (e.g. individual lines of sight-reading exercises, etc) - being able to quickly make a bunch of equally-sized slices and drag them to where I want them would be perfect for this use case, I think!

Welcome to the forum, drosboro. Thanks for your feedback. We’ll certainly consider these for the future – some of them would also be useful operations for other kinds of frames in Engrave more generally, so you may see them in future versions of the software.
