"Gregorian" style notation

For me a completely new challenge, used to keyboard scores, but now asked to set a Gregorian hymn, but not in neumen, but a kind of modern notation, like this:

Removing stems is no problem, but the adjustment of the notes and lyrics is.
If set I get this:

No matter how much (or less) notespaceing I set, the second line stays like this.
In engrave mode can move the end of the second system to the left, but then you have staves of different length, and the barline is still at the right…
Is there a better way to have the black notes aligned vertically?

Dorico will always justify the music to fill the entire length of the line. (Except the last line of a Flow, optionally.)

I would suggest that you add one or more empty bars to fill the rest of the line. You’ll have to hide the rests, and the barlines. (Create a Tick barline with adjusted height of -1/2 in the properties panel.)

Easier is just to switch to the note spacing tool, select the last square handle at the top, and increase its width by pressing Cmd-Opt-Right arrow. A bunch.

Thanks Dan, that is indeed the most simple solution, not perfect, but will do fine!
