When I am in Write mode and trying to select a note (or other object), the rhythmic grid and caret keep popping up. I have to press Enter twice to get rid of it (once to start Note Input, and then once again to turn it off). (I don’t care that the grid is there, except that I can’t select things.)
I’ve looked in my Setup preferences and can’t find if there’s something there I need to change.
I’m not sure if this began only after the latest Dorico 6 Pro update, or when I got a new computer, as they were both pretty recent.
I’ve had this happen intermittently since the 6.2.2 update, if I remember correctly. I haven’t a clue why or under what circumstance. Yet even when note input isn’t selected and the grid is active, it will input notes (I use duration before pitch approach). I hit ESC and it goes away.
I thought maybe I was being sloppy and touching something I didn’t realize I was touching…
Hi, @alicebdearden, you can click on the arrow icon (select) on the top of the left panel. This deactivates mouse note-input and facilitates just selecting things.
