It would be great if GA6 had a Triggering feature like Slate Trigger (currently on sale).
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Note: I’ve been doing something similar, but it’s time-consuming and tedious. A more instantaneous approach would be fantastic.
Can you describe this feature for those of us that don’t know Slate Trigger? (Slate Trigger sounds like a character from a 1940s crime novel.)
Slate Trigger is the most widely used plugin for replacing or supporting kick drums, snares, and toms. It’s based on an audio track, a kick drum track for example, which you quickly adjust. The trigger fires off a sample (or as many as you want, up to 8 in total) whose volume, phase, panning, “pitch,” etc., you can control.
I’ve been doing it manually, I mean. Using Hitpoints, then I convert the track to MIDI, then open GA, load a library or the samples I’m going to use, and finally, each time the note C1 is triggered, for example, it links to other pads. I’ve created a preset to speed up this step.
